ANCHOR SECTION
The annual fee for Anchor Boys is £30. This covers insurance for each boy and costs of Hallowe'en and Christmas parties, a fun morning in Irvine in March and a gift for all boys at Parents' Night in May.
The Anchor Uniform consists of a blue polo shirt with a red sweatshirt on top. The approximate cost is £20 depending on size. Please ensure that names are written on each item.
Boys are asked to wear their school trousers, school shoes (black) and dark or grey socks. Marks are given for neatness in their groups.
To gain perfect attendance, boys should attend every Friday night. Details will be given in advance of when we are on holiday to coincide with the school.
The Anchor Section take part in one Parade and Church Service annually.
Parents are asked to come into the hallway of the Dunn Memorial Hall to collect the boys. They will not be allowed out without an adult. The front door is locked after all boys are in and will be opened by a member of staff at 6pm.
The aim in the Anchor Section is for the boys to have fun and join in with boys from all schools from Fairlie, through Largs to Skelmorlie.
The boys will follow a simple achievement scheme according to their age and ability as set out by Boys' Brigade. A certificate is given for this at the end of the session.
P3 Boys are awarded their first badge and armband at the end of the session as they are promoted to the Junior Section.
