JUNIOR SECTION

The annual fee for Junior Section is £35 per boy. This covers insurance, badges, work sheets, transport to a variety of competitions and football games, Halloween Party and outing to Ten Pin Bowling, etc.

 

The Junior Section Uniform consists of a Boys' Brigade Polo shirt (same as Anchor Section), a blue sweatshirt and a BB hat, boys also wear their armband and any badges awarded on their right sleeve. The uniform also consists of school trousers, black shoes, dark or grey socks. The cost of a full uniform is approximate £30. All boys are encouraged to come along every week neat and tidy as Inspection is carried out at the start of each evening with points given.  A trophy is awarded to the smartest group at the end of the session. Please put names on all items.

 

Marks are given each Friday night.

 

Our three parades this session are:

ENROLMENT

REMEMBRANCE PARADE

ANNUAL BATTALION PARADE.

All boys are expected to attend all three parades.

 

No marks will be given for attending parties, etc.

 

A small collection is taken every week (10p-20p) to help with parties and treats. A Tuck Shop is held at the end of each evening.

 

Junior section follow an Achievement Scheme for their Badgework. Boys will be given work to do at home as well as in their achievement class.  An officer will be assigned to each age group for achievements only.

 

Parents are kept up to date by letter with the Junior Section programme. We take part in all Battalion Competitions - Chess, Drawing, Christian Education, Figure Marching, Mime and Drama, Fun Run, Swimming, 5-a-side Football, Badminton, Football League, General Knowledge and Potted Sports. All boys are encouraged to take part and join in. A full list of competition dates is available.

Christmas Card Delivery Service

This huge fundraiser is run every year. All boys and parents are asked to assist. Last year we delivered approx 35,000 cards.
